What were they thinking, keeping these off the album? In no particular order here are 10 of the great non-albums songs. You can listen along:
10. Hey Hey What Can I Do? – Led Zeppelin – 1970
As they say it is an oldie but a goodie. This B-side to the Immigrant Song single is of course an all time classic.

9. Map of Your Head – Muse – 2001
The more you listen to this one the more you will like it and I can guarantee that.

8. Stop and Think – Ian Thornley – 2007
Sadly this one was only ever released on a myspace page. If this list was a ranked list I would have a hard time not putting this one at #1.

7. Nowhere But You – Chris Cornell
When you have had a bad day or night, this is a perfect song to pep you up in the morning. And I can’t believe this one never found it’s way onto a Soundgarden album.

6. Pins in My Needles – Silverchair – 2002
The B-side for the Without You single from the fantastic Diorama album is yet another great addition to the list.

5. Polyethylene, Pts. 1 & 2 – Radiohead – 1998
This nugget can be found on the Airbag/How Am I Driving? EP. Just another great tune.

4. See You Soon – Coldplay
“Don’t judge me”. I like it.

3. Still Holding – Big Wreck – 1997
This is the only semi-repeat on the list since it was written by Ian Thornley and performed with his old band.
[gplayer href=”http://www.everydaynormal.com/files/Still Holding.mp3″]Still Holding[/gplayer]
2. What Will You Say? – Jeff Buckley
Tragically he died before he could ever make a studio recording of this song.

1. Yellow LedBetter – Pearl Jam – 1992
Did you really think it wouldn’t be on this list?

Update: I added the player with the playlist and switched out Ian Thornley’s “Might Be the End” with “Stop and Think” which is just as good, because “Might Be the End” is on an album now. Tell me some others I have surely missed in the comments.
Newer Update: Every music player I use goes under. I am serving them up myself now.
WOW.
Thornley being my favourite band, I really like 3. Still Holding – Big Wreck & 8. Might Be The End – Ian Thornley… Too bad these songs weren’t released. They are outstanding.
Other songs are awesome too.
Good list.
couldn’t agree more
Way cool, bro! Thanks for sharing this.
the player looks good–for all the non-nerds out there, i will just say it is far more impressive than you think.
