Even though these are in other languages you will get the idea. In the first one the girl asks the old guy how he likes his new iPad:
Secondhand Scruffy
Before my sister had her first baby she, of course, had a baby shower. Our chain smoking neighbor was in attendance and brought some nice gifts. One of the gifts was a previously used stuffed animal. Later in the day when my brothers, their friends and I came back we discovered this gracious gift. It was a hand-me-down that had been used by another child. I picked it up and noticed that it smelled deeply of cigarettes and immediately knew who had given the gift.
On the spot I developed a character named Secondhand Scruffy. He was a stuffed dog with long human arms that would awaken when parents left and offer the children various tobacco products. I named him “Secondhand Scruffy” for two reasons. First because he was a hand-me-down and second because of the secondhand smoke that had filled him with his odor. I think my sister threw the toy away. Just recently I got around to drawing a picture of Scruffy, enjoy.
Movie Review: Skyfall
Oh boy, yet another James Bond movie. I have to say that even the new darker, emotionally scarred, mopey version of James Bond has gotten old for me. I never much cared for the old James Bond Stuff either. In my eyes it has only been good for mining comedy material like Sean Connery quotes. On to the spoiler alerts for this particular movie.
Uncle Drew Pt 1 & 2
Kyrie Irving has been doing some ads for Pepsi in the form of…well I will just let you watch for yourself:
All I Can Say is Ouch
More basketball here fans. This happened on Sunday night but I did not see it live. The victim of this brutality, Brandon Knight of the Pistons, had his wikipedia page edited after the dunk to proclaim his time of death.
On another note is it not truly amazing that the Clippers are not pure garbage anymore. I have kind of overlooked DeAndre Jordan because of all the other good players they have this year. Someone deserves some kudos for finally building a good team there.
Palindrome Time
Who doesn’t love palindromes? The only way they could get better is if they were called Spalindromesemordnilaps. Apparently a few days back I missed the Symmys which is the awards for palindromes. Farther back in time than that I also missed this fantastic video by one of the greatest artists of all time Weird Al:

Sweet Nerdy Goodness: Coffee Table Edition
I must admit that as time goes on I enjoy the original Star Wars movies less and less. I think that started somewhere around George Lucas’ re-releases back at the end of the 90’s. With that said I would still enjoy one of these coffee tables at my house. Continue reading “Sweet Nerdy Goodness: Coffee Table Edition”
Got a Minute? Watch the Matrix
Although the sequels were pure torture I still really like The Matrix. Now I can relive it over and over again very quickly and so can you. I suggest you do:
Nothing like a Good Trailer: Iron Man 3
Yes I know “Iron Man 2” was sub par. But even with terrible holes and writing “Avengers” somehow managed to be pretty enjoyable. This trailer looks considerably different from other recent Iron Man adventures:
Here’s to hoping that this and the new “Man of Steel” movie are as good as I hope they will be.
