I would just like to take a minute to promote a great show that is unavailable in the U.S. on television. It is called the IT Crowd. I think they were going to make a U.S. version or they may have already tried it and failed. The U.K. version is hilarious and it is unnecessary to try to change it for the U.S.. His name is Alexei Filippenko and he is much more than just a TV scientist like Mr. Wizard or Bill Nye. Alex is often on the show “The Universe” on the History Channel. The reason that I like him so much is that he seems to always be smiling.

Another classic video that promotes common sense. We should apply this for ourselves and our government.
Apparently we are right in the middle of what some group of people has decided was a good time for TV turn off week. There is also another one in September. Learning this today a great many questions popped into my mind, such as:
I was talking about this video with someone the other day and now I can’t stop thinking about the robot gathering fuel.
I haven’t thought anything on Saturday Night Live was funny for a long time. I would tune in sometimes to see if I would laugh and never so much as crack a smile. Randomly there would be something pretty good, maybe. I watched on Saturday and saw a couple of things that I thought were pretty good.
